China Opens Crack in Great Firewall for Olympic Press

I hope this is a real (albeit tiny) move in the direction of openness and not just a temporary change.
If you have lost track of whether China has or has not opened the Internet for journalists during the Olympics, we don’t blame you. Today, after going back and forth several times, the International Olympic Committee assures us once again that China is lifting its filters for the press in anticipation of the Olympic Games. The IOC says problem solved.
